Residents of a compound in the Ogombo area of Lagos State were left shocked after thieves reportedly invaded the premises during the night and stole 11 generators.

The generators, which were being used by residents as alternative sources of electricity, were reportedly taken while the occupants were asleep.

A resident who filmed the scene said the thieves left behind only the generators that were too heavy to carry.

The incident has left residents concerned about security in the area, particularly as the stolen generators were essential to households relying on alternative power sources.

A video showing the aftermath of the incident has since surfaced online.
