The Bank of Agriculture (BOA) has opened applications for its Renewed Hope Smallholder Support and Value-Chain Fund for the 2026/27 dry-season farming cycle.
The institution is inviting eligible agricultural aggregation companies and produce offtakers to participate in a programme designed to strengthen smallholder farming across Nigeria.
The initiative seeks to improve agricultural productivity by connecting farmer networks to affordable financing, quality farm inputs, irrigation support, technical assistance and structured markets for their produce.
Applications close on November 2, 2026, according to the published programme announcement. Interested organisations are encouraged to review the eligibility requirements and prepare their supporting documents before applying.
About the Renewed Hope Smallholder Support Programme
The Renewed Hope Smallholder Support and Value-Chain Fund (RH-SHVCF) is an agricultural financing intervention designed to address some of the major challenges facing smallholder farmers, including limited access to farm inputs, financing, irrigation facilities and reliable buyers.
Implemented through eligible aggregation partners, the programme aims to help farmers improve production while strengthening connections between agricultural production, harvest collection and commercial markets.
Under the arrangement, participating companies help organise farmer groups, coordinate production activities, facilitate input distribution and link harvested produce to buyers. The approach is intended to improve productivity, reduce market uncertainties and create a more commercially sustainable agricultural value chain.
What Support Does the Programme Offer?
Through approved programme arrangements, participating farmer networks may benefit from:
- Agricultural financing: Access to structured and affordable financing arrangements for eligible farming activities.
- Quality farm inputs: Support for seeds, fertilisers and crop-protection products.
- Irrigation equipment: Access to relevant equipment and production support for dry-season cultivation.
- Technical assistance: Extension services and advisory support to improve farming practices.
- Market access: Connections to produce buyers and structured offtake arrangements.
- Farmer aggregation: Support for organising smallholder farmers into coordinated production networks.
The programme is designed to support agricultural production from planting through harvest and marketing. Assistance is delivered through approved financing and implementation arrangements, subject to the Bank of Agriculture’s terms and conditions.
Important: This is not a direct cash-grant application for individual farmers. The current expression of interest is intended for eligible Farmer Aggregation Companies and offtakers that can organise and support networks of smallholder farmers. <Cite refs={[“turn928447search0″,”turn928447search2”]}/>
