The National Primary Health Care Development Agency has sought the cooperation of parents and caregivers to fight against contracting measles as it has mapped out the month of March for vaccination implementation exercise across the local government area.

All the Primary Health Care (PHC) centres within the local government area were enjoined to key into the precautionary measures to ward off impending danger militating against infant health.

The agency maintained that the preparation, sensitization and mobilization strategies would speak more of the safety and effective purposes, while the implementation process would commence from 1st -15th of March 2018 on children within the ages of 9-59 months.

Speaking on the exercise, the Medical Officer of Health (MOH), Dr. Tunde Oshoba, said that vaccination cards would be issued after immunization advising that the cards should be kept for officers who would come afterwards for survey and future use.

He also stated that the vaccine would be free, safe, and effective. He however advised that in any case of reaction(s), the children should be brought back for proper check up.
