Education District VI embarks on health walk for quality educationĀ

Education District VI Tutor General/Permanent Secretary (TG/PS), Mrs. Olufunmilayo Onadipe, has embarked on health walk with principals, teachers both in senior and junior secondary schools to prepare them for the new 2018/19 academic session.

Recognising the fact that the district has been on record for huge success in education, and with the aim of sustaining the success, the wellbeing of the tutors are considered paramount to influence teaching and learning process.

Onadipe stated that the health walk was to strengthen the spirit, soul and body so as to work with the heart content in a peaceful and stress-free manner.

However, she harped on the words of Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode to education sector, which she routed as saying, “Don’t think outside the box but think without the box.”

She continued that the district wanted to start thinking without the box as the participants benefited from the exercise that involved the brain to get ready to think.

In her remarks, she wished all principals, teachers in Education District VI a very peaceful and stress-free academic session.

The Chairman of Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT), Oshodi-Isolo branch, Olawale Adams who doubles as the Chairman, Congress of Branch chairmen Lagos wing NUT, charged Ā principals and teachers to take the exercise as a signal to complement the domains of learning in their classes.

He added that the exercise gave room for close relationship among the TG/PS, principals and teachers.

The health building capacity of staffs in Education District VI is meant to be a continuous exercise to enhance quality education.
