The Council Chairman in Isolo, Olasoju Adebayo, has solicited for a sensitization on peaceful co-existence, national unity at the grassroot.
Adebayo made the recommendation during an enlightenment program organized by the National Orientation Agency, NOA, held on Wednesday at the multipurpose hall in the community’s Secretariat.
Olasoju mention of the significance of upholding patriotism. He said such can be achieved by creating it’s awareness at the grassroots through necessary programs and activities.
He lauded the officials of the NOA for convening the program which according to him can make a positive mindset of the youths not only in the community but the large society as a whole.
The Chairman said, “This program is aimed at familiarizing the people with the Federal Government’s renewed hope programs and other policies.
“This is a laudable program and I do not doubt that it will go a long way to complement our routine enlightenment program for our people to get them familiarize with what the Federal government is doing to make life more meaningful.
“Our people are patriotic and they believe in the Renewed Hope agenda of Mr. President and that was why the recent protest failed woefully in Isolo LCDA.”
He continued, “We will intensify our efforts in keeping government closer to our people and spreading the dividends of democracy evenly to make life more meaningful for our people while we expect that on your part as a policy advocacy agency; you’ll sustain your efforts and make it deep-rooted at the grassroots.”
