Apply: UNDP Young Africa Innovates Programme 2026–2027 for Nigerian Innovators
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, has opened applications for the second cohort of the Young Africa Innovates (YAI) Programme.
UNDP is inviting young Nigerian innovators to develop promising ideas into sustainable businesses.
The initiative is designed to support young people with innovative solutions to pressing community and societal challenges, particularly those who face barriers to accessing funding, mentorship, business networks and technical assistance.
According to UNDP, the programme’s first cohort received more than 9,000 applications, with 205 innovators eventually participating in incubation across seven states and generating 815 employment opportunities. The second cohort aims to expand support for youth-led innovation and entrepreneurship across Nigeria. <Cite refs={[“turn768166search0”]}/>
