Lagos children defy heavy downpour to mark this year’s Children’s Day in style.

The rains, which began about 7:30am disrupted the day activities but as it subsided about one hour after, the pupils were seeing moving out in batches.

The activities, which began last Sunday with thanksgiving at the Church of Christ Se Light Alausa are to be concluded today with rally.

On Tuesday, the children were engaged in career talk at the Education Resource Centre, Ojodu.

On Thursday, they held a cultural programme at the same venue and closed the week with Jumat Service at the Alausa Secretariat Mosque.

Today’s rally, according to the Deputy Director, Public Communication of the State Ministry of Education is being held at the Police College, IKeja.
