The chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area, Mr. Olasoju Adebayo extended his food bank initiative to the Ishagatedo community in Ishaga/Ire-Akari and Aregbe Street in Akinbaye Wards.
This effort is part of his ongoing distribution of food palliatives through door-to-door visits, which started two weeks ago in Akinbaye ward and Eyin-Oja neighborhood of Ishaga/Ire-Akari ward.
The convoy led by Olasoju arrived at the Olokun/Baale streets junction in Ishagatedo at 9:00 am, where they were warmly welcomed by eager senior citizens.
Speaking to a group of potential beneficiaries, Olasoju encouraged them to remain positive and have faith in the Bola Tinubu administration instead of criticizing the country they belong to.
He reassured them that the current economic reforms may have temporary negative effects but will ultimately lead to financial recovery for the nation.
Olasoju also explained that the consequences of subsidy removal and other government policies were not intentional and promised a brighter future ahead.
The assembly, mostly gathered at Baale/Olokun junction, received this message before Olasoju’s team moved on to the council secretariat for a break before visiting Aregbe and Ehingbeti streets.
This time, their door-to-door approach encountered fewer difficulties, resulting in over 300 households being reached.
The chairman of the council confirmed that the same benefits would be provided to other communities within the council area.
He was pleased to see the happiness on the faces of the recipients, who spoke highly of their council chairman.
