The newly appointed Senior Special Assistant to Ejigbo LCDA Chairman, Mr. Babajide Ogunmefun has commended the chairman for including youths in his administration, noting that more youths have been appointed into various posts by the chairman to serve the community.
According to him, the chairman has keyed into the ‘Not-Too-Young-To-Rule’ mantra, which he described as the best way to promote democracy and give the youths the sense of belonging but not to be used by the older politicians and dumped.
“I wish to use this medium to appreciate our chairman for making the youths relevant in his government. This shows that he is a pro-youth politician. Many of us appointed as SSAs are youths. Obe is not a leader that neglects the youths and you would also fill his impacts through his various empowerment and supports for the youth’s development.
“I wish all our other political leaders can emulate him. The youths were the ones who worked for them during the campaign and elections. There are many other posts into which the youths in the community can be fixed.”
Ogunmefun, who doubles as the Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ejigbo LCDA, declared that if given the opportunity, the youths are the veritable tools needed for the development of the community.
He added that Obe has been grooming the youths in Ejigbo for the complex government task knowing that the youths would be required to take up such tasks at the federal and state levels.
