Sanwo-olu projects: Councillors  meet stakeholders  in wards  this week

Determined to present popular projects in response ro the request of  the  Sanwo-olu administration, councilors in  Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) are meeting stakeholders in their constituencies this week.

Each councillor represents a ward. There are six wards in the LCDA and 377 in Lagos State as a whole.

The constituency meetings will hold between Monday, November 18 and Wednesday, November 20, 2019, this week.

The Council Leader, Hon. Lanre Akinbowale, explained that the stakeholders meetings with the communities will also meant foster bonds between the councillors and the residents for effective representation.

 

He informed that the meetings would be an avenue for the councillors to ask the people in their wards their needs from the government, and to identity what each ward really needs urgently.

 

It is also to bring all the stakeholders in the community together to ask questions about local governance and to see the way forward after which the councillors will come back to deliberate on all what they might gathered from the wards and present them to the council chairman for necessary actions, he said.

Akinbowale explained that two wards would be engaged per day in the scheduled meetings with one in the morning and another in the afternoon as the six wards in Ejigbo are to be engaged in three days.

According to the calendar of meetings, on Monday, November 18, Fadu ward meets in the morning while Ilamoshe meets in the afternoon.

 

Tuesday, November 19 is for Oke-Afa ward in the morning while Ailegun ward meets in the afternoon.

And on Wednesday, November 20, Ifoshi ward would meet with the councillors in the morning while Aigbaka ward’s meet is slated for afternoon.
