Bamgbose noted that Ishagatedo had benefited immensely from the current administration in terms of developmental projects.

He listed the projects as reconstruction of Baale/Olokun Street with full complement of solar-powered street lights, the reconstruction of drainage from Ile Ibadan Compound through Igbogila Quarters and the on-going reconstruction work on Adebajo Street among others as commendable gesture.

“We are eternally grateful to you for all these projects which would have direct impact on the lives of residents of the area,” Bamgbade said.

He therefore sought the council chairman’s assistance in the provision of a compactor and other sanitation tools like sanitizer, rake and shovels for sanitation exercise to mark the maiden edition of Ishagatedo Youth Week expected to hold next month.

Responding, the council chairman thanked the youths for the show of appreciation, adding that he was inspired to bring developmental projects to Ishagatedo because Ishagatedo is his political base, noting that the residents of the area have always supported him and the All Progressives Congress (APC) during elections.

“I am motivated to bring legacy projects to Ishaga because it is my political base and the people of Ishaga have always supported me in my political aspirations as well as that of the APC. So the projects are a way of saying thank you to the people of Ishaga for their support over the years.

“I am a promise keeper and that is why I appointed an Ishaga youth to supervise the highest and most important portfolio in the council administration to make up for the loss of the councillorship ticket.”

He therefore directed the Supervisor for Environment, Hon. Saheed Abiodun to liaise with the HOD Environment to facilitate release of the materials for the sanitation exercise as he promised to attend the Youth Week if he is available.
