I almost canceled my 50th birthday celebration – Alhaja Onabanwo

Party leaders, residents and many other well-wishers trooped to the residence of the Ejigbo All Progressive Congress (APC) women leader, Alhaja Tolani Onabanwo, on Monday last week to celebrate her golden jubilee amidst merriment.

Although the birthday celebration has been in the plan before, the celebrator said she almost canceled the celebration due to the sudden demise of her mother last month.

According to her, she had concluded not to celebrate her golden jubilee anymore but the children would not agree with her as they had to put things together to ensure she was still celebrated despite the calamity of her mother’s death.

“If not for the children, I wouldn’t have celebrated the birthday because I cherish my mother so much and her death really pains me. I didn’t want to do the birthday but the children did itto surprise me,” she said.

Alhaja Onabanwo however appreciated God for all the good things He has done to her over the years especially her traveling to Hajj this year.

She also appreciated the council chairman, Hon. Monsurudeen Bello and his wife, Hajia Fatima Bello; the immediate past Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon. Kehinde Bamigbetan; the APC LG Chairman, Alhaji Fatai Kasumu; Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Hon. Fregene Omatseye, the APC Youth Leader, Ward women leaders, children and family for their support
