Oshodi-Isolo Chairman Pledges Commitment to Citizen Welfare, Women’s Empowerment

Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to fostering partnerships and prioritizing the well-being of the local community.

During a meeting with the leadership of She Safety and Health Initiative, Oloyede highlighted the importance of governance in serving the people and promoting their best interests.

Represented by Vice Chairman Modupe Badmus-Aregbe, Oloyede emphasized the administration’s focus on ensuring the safety and welfare of women, particularly those who are most vulnerable in society.

He noted key accomplishments, such as constructing and rehabilitating roads, drilling boreholes, and implementing skill-building programs for the younger generation.

The chairman pledged to deliver on campaign promises and his vision for Oshodi-Isolo Local Government’s transformation.

Additionally, he expressed willingness to collaborate on initiatives aimed at empowering women and defending the rights of vulnerable groups within the community.

Ambassador Mabel Abel-Onaiwu, leader of the She Safety and Health Initiative delegation, commended the council’s leadership for their efforts and emphasized the organization’s interest in partnering with the local government to promote health, safety, and women’s empowerment.

She explained that ‘She Safety and Health Initiative’ is a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated to promoting health, safety, and empowerment.

She further disclosed that the organization has trained over 5,000 women and young girls across Lagos and beyond, expressing their willingness to extend similar initiatives to Oshodi-Isolo Local Government.

In recognition of the Chairman’s efforts in training and empowering vulnerable women, the group presented a plaque to Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede.
