The Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Moyosore Adebanjo, has hosted Miss Ikeja Heritage Pageant winner, Odenike Mofisinoluwa Dorcas, congratulating her on her achievement and encouraging young people to pursue their ambitions.

Adebanjo also received the competition’s first runner-up, alongside Dorcas’s father, the pageant organiser and other well-wishers at his office.

The council chairman disclosed the visit in a statement posted on his X handle on Monday, October 26, describing it as an opportunity to celebrate the talent and potential of young people.

He said he was particularly pleased that Dorcas, who hails from Onigbongbo LCDA, emerged as the winner of the competition.

“I was particularly delighted to receive Odenike Mofisinoluwa Dorcas, who proudly hails from Onigbongbo LCDA and emerged as the winner of the pageant,” Adebanjo said.

The chairman congratulated both contestants on their achievements and urged them to remain focused and committed to their goals.

He also encouraged contestants who did not win to remain optimistic, noting that failing to secure a competition title did not diminish their abilities or future prospects.

“I also reminded the other contestants present that not winning a competition does not mean you lack the potential to succeed,” he said.

Adebanjo added that young people should approach every experience as an opportunity to learn, develop their abilities and prepare for future opportunities.

“Every experience is an opportunity to learn, grow, and prepare for something greater,” he said.
