Isolo women back Bamigbetan’s House of Reps race
By Abolaji Adebayo
Towing the path of other groups and individuals in Oshodi, Isolo and Ejigbo communities, the women group in Isolo community has also declared it’s support for the Lagos Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Kehinde Bamigbetan’s intention to contest for House of Representatives under Oshodi-Isolo Constituency II in 2019.
According to them, their support is based on the antioxidants of the commissioner in Oshodi, Isolo and Ejigbo Local Governments.
Speaking on behalf of the women of Isolo, the KOK Coordinator, Isolo branch, Serifat Taiwo, described Bamgbetan as a leader par excellence, having led Ejigbo LCDA as the Chairman for two terms.
Going on the memory lane, Taiwo said that the contender had done many developmental projects within his constituency first as a chairman of the local council, as an individual as well as the commissioner in Lagos State.
She disclosed that his sponsoring of various ongoing vocational trainings in Isolo has added another feather to his cap.
She recalled that Bamgbetan had sponsored such schemes in the past, noting that he had also purchased WAEC, NECO and JAMB forms for the students in his community.
She therefore assured him of total support by the women in Isolo during general elections in 2019.
Meanwhile, the women coordinator admonished other politicians in the constituency to replicate what Bamigbetan has been doing, saying that they, especially the women, need their support not only during election.
