Man subjects wife to psychological trauma over denial to see her children

Child abduction and breach of place petition has been issued to a sports journalist, George Ude, who subjected his wife, Mrs. Linda Ude, to psychological trauma for denying her access to her two children since 2015 till date.

The complainant, Mrs. Ude, was said to have been undergoing series of psychological trauma, having been admitted at Yaba psychiatric hospital on two occasions for emotional torture and depression and was also admitted at Uselu psychiatric hospital, Edo state.

The case has been transferred to Makinde Police Station who have also contacted Oshodi-Isolo Child Protection Network (CPN) to use its good office to ensure that justice prevailed.

According to the soliciting Barrister, Chinedum Onuoha, who stated that George had been subjecting the complainant to all forms of battery and assaults since the marriage was contracted in 2007.

He also disclosed that the assault usually occur whenever she made request to know her husband’s hometown in Ngbowo, Enugu State as their traditional marriage rites and ceremony were all done in Lagos.

The complainant also recalled that she travelled to Warri, Delta State to visit her parents in 2015, when she returned, she discovered that her husband had relocated with her two children, Adaugo Ude 10 years and Onyinyechukwu Ude 9 years from their former residence at 7 Lambo Street, Alapere Ketu to an unknown place, denying her the access to them up till date.

“He usually allows my father to speak with the children till such a time he no longer picks anyone’s call.”

She added that every effort made to persuade him to allow the complainant see her children proved abortive.
