Fusion Football Championship: Mandela Itodo grab a haul in 8 goal thriller as Charlesann FC draw with Broadcity FC

Table toppers Charlesann FC scored a late equalizer to earn a score draw of 4-4 against the ever resilient Broadcity FC.

Mandela Itodo was the center of attractive in the game as he scored 4 goals for Charlesann FC to take his tally to 7 goals so far in the Fusion Football Championship.

It was a downpour of goals in the week 3 fixture between Charlesann FC and Broadcity FC as they lived up to expectations. Broadcity FC were on the verge of winning the game before gifting Charlesann FC a penalty at the tail end of the game to share the spoils.

Charlesann FC took the mantle of leadership early in the game by scoring from close range in the 3rd minute through Mandela Itodo.

Despite conceding an early goal, Broadcity FC didn’t relent in their pursuit for glory as they equalized some minutes later through Olashile Quadri.

Broadcity FC snatched the mantle of leadership from Charlesann FC through a brilliant left footed free kick which was scored by Solomon Agbalaka.

Charlesann FC were gifted a penalty after their player was brought down in the 18 meter box to equal the score line 2-2 as Mandela send the goalie the wrong way.

Mandela Itodo showed why he was a constant thorn in the flesh of Broadcity FC players as he gave his team the lead again.

Broadcity FC showed that they are not pushovers in the game as they tie the game at 3-3 to add more frenzy to the game.

With ten minutes to go to the end of the game, Broadcity shocked their opponent as they take the lead 4-3 and put the pressure on their opponent.

Football came with it’s twist as Broadcity surrendered their lead in the 18th minute as they giveaway another penalty to Charlesann FC which Mandela Itodo bundled it to the roof of the net as the game ended 4-4.

Speaking with ECHONEWS, the coach of Charlesann FC Omodara Saturday said that Broadcity FC were the better team in the match and rue the injuries that prevented some of his players from playing the match.

Coach of Broadcity FC, Micah Bello admitted that it was his fault that his team conceded the late goal and promised his team will have a better outing in subsequent matches.
