“When we supported him the first time, some people had doubts as they were not sure if he would deliver. Now it is clear to all and sundry, even the blind can see that Obe is the right man for the job. So, it is on this note that I want to appreciate what he has done and recommend him for re-election when the time comes.

“Look at what the local council is today. As at when Obe took over, this Council Secretariat was a different environment entirely but today, he has changed the face of the Secretariat. He is constructing a public primary school at Ilamoshe, he has rehabilitated many roads, supported the needy and promoted peace within the local council.

“Just recently, the Council boss awarded the construction of Kashimawo Alimi road with the promise that the road will be delivered before the end of this year. If he can do that, then I think he deserves to be commended and re-elected”.

Obe was the Vice Chairman and Supervisor for Works during Bamgbetan’s administration as council chairman.

During that time, the administration had identified the local council as a lucrative ground for private primary schools, due to the shortage of public primary schools.
