LASUCOM Pharmacy Faculty Relocates to Yaba Campus
LASUCOM Pharmacy Faculty Relocates to Yaba Campus Ahead of NUC, PCN Accreditation
The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the Lagos State University College of Medicine (LASUCOM) has relocated from the Ikeja Campus to its new facility at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, IDH, Yaba Campus.
The relocation took effect on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, following a directive by the Provost of LASUCOM, Prof. Olufemi Idowu.
According to the College, the move is aimed at consolidating academic facilities and activities while creating a more conducive environment for teaching, learning and research.
The Yaba Campus is also expected to provide improved infrastructure and closer proximity to relevant teaching hospital facilities, thereby enhancing the academic and clinical experience of students and staff.
The relocation is part of LASUCOM’s preparations for the forthcoming accreditation exercise of the Faculty by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN).
Prof. Idowu commended the Faculty Management, staff and students for ensuring a smooth transition, while reaffirming the College’s commitment to providing the necessary support for the Faculty ahead of the accreditation exercise.
Academic activities at the Faculty will commence at the Yaba Campus with the new academic session scheduled to begin in October 2026.
