The youths under the umbrella of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ejigbo have utilised the empowerment fund giving to them by the Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Develoment Area (LCDA), Hon. Monsurudeen Oloyede (Obe) to establish a viewing centre to generate income.
In fulfillment of his promise to support youth empowerment, Obe had given them N400,000 to set up a viewing centre using the Party secretariat to serve duo purpose of generating income for the youths as well as a relaxation centre.
Speaking on the development, the Youth leader, Babajide Ogunmefun (JP), said some of the necessary facilities have been procured and that they have started test running the operation while waiting for some other equipment such as speaker and amplifier to commence the business at the centre.
He further stated that they need security at the centre and that they are trying to make the centre convenience for the viewers, adding that when fully commenced, at least four youths would be employed to man the centre as the viewers have to pay a token to watch football matches.
Ogunmefun however commended the LCDA chairman for the gesture, saying the youths would continue to support his government.
