Blessing CEO Reportedly Loses Son Amid Ongoing Court Case

Nigerian social media personality Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has reportedly lost her second son, Bryan, while she remains in custody at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos.
The development was announced on Friday by Amira Agiye, Chief Executive Officer of the Isaamira Love Foundation, who appealed to Nigerians for financial assistance on behalf of Blessing CEO.
Agiye said Blessing CEO was grieving the death of her son while still in custody and appealed to the public to show compassion despite differing opinions about her ongoing legal cases.
“It is sad to announce to you all that Blessing CEO just lost her second son,” Agiye said.
She added that Blessing CEO needed ₦20 million to meet the bail conditions imposed by the court and another ₦36 million to settle debts allegedly owed to individuals connected to the cases against her.
“Please, Nigerians, let’s forgive her for the sake of that boy who is still in the mortuary,” Agiye said, adding that the appeal was being made with Blessing CEO’s consent and authorisation.
In a voice recording played by Agiye, Blessing CEO also spoke about the death of her son.
“My second son, Bryan, was full of life. While in custody, I lost Bryan. I pray this turns out positive so I can leave this place, pick up the pieces of my life and pay my respects to him,” she said.
The circumstances surrounding Bryan’s death have not been publicly disclosed.
Blessing CEO is currently facing an alleged ₦69.15 million property fraud case brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
She was arraigned before the Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja in June and pleaded not guilty to charges of obtaining money by false pretences and stealing. The EFCC alleges that she obtained ₦69.15 million from Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited in connection with a property lease.
Justice Rahman Oshodi granted her ₦20 million bail in July, with 2 sureties in like sum. Each surety was required to provide proof of deposits valued at ₦20 million for 3 years. The court subsequently adjourned the case until October 12, 2026, for continuation of trial.
Blessing CEO has remained in custody after reportedly being unable to fulfil the bail conditions.
The allegations against her remain before the court and have not been proven.
