As rainy season approaches, the Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Hon. Bolaji Muse-Ariyoh has urged residents to maintain a clean environment to prevent communicable diseases.
In a statement, Ariyoh stated that men of the environment services department have commenced evacuation and clearing of drainages in Alimi Oke Street and its environs.
He said that the sensitization of the people in the community became imperative in preparation for the rainy season to avoid flood and other pipe borne diseases associated with the season.
Ariyoh said that he was making efforts towards a clean environment, urging the people of the community to complement the effort of the local government authority.
He warned that some houses and shops that contravene the environmental laws would be served noticed of removal, appealing to the community to always obey environmental laws to keep their environment clean always.
