On Saturday, March 15, 2025, the Alimosho Local Government hosted a medical mission and free food distribution event organized by Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The initiative took place at the local government secretariat in Akowonjo and provided essential services to over 1,000 beneficiaries.
The event featured a team of medical professionals offering consultations, medical advice, and drug administration for various ailments. Participants also received food packs to help alleviate the impact of the current economic situation.
During the event, the chairman expressed appreciation for Seyi Tinubu’s efforts in initiating the program. Sulaimon also encouraged other political office holders to emulate such initiatives to better serve the community.
According to him, Mr Seyi Tinubu is doing what he has done due to his love for the people, which is lacking in many political office holders today. As a result, following this gesture, if he is given an opportunity to serve at any capacity, he will do more.
According to Mr Seyi Tinubu’s team, the free health mission and free food distribution was planned to be held at some selected LGA/LCDAs in Lagos State, of which Alimosho is part.
While Alimosho Local Government is now in the league of the first set of beneficiaries, more LGA/LCDAs will benefit in the nearest future as they deem it planned.
