Agege: Councillors brace up to engage Awawa boys

At the Plenary of Agege Local Government Legislative Arm held  this week, the legislators of Agege Local Government Area deliberated on how to  tackle security challenges facing Agege community amongst other salient issues.
They resolved  to tackle the excesses of the so-called ‘Awawa boys’ across the wards with a unanimous vote.
This motion was unanimously adopted and the Clerk was directed to send the resolution to the Executive Chairman of the council.
  The house also deliberated on giving support to child service care programme organizers in the council area.
. The legislators resolved to encourage Agege youths to make good use of the vocational centre to get themselves engaged and empowered to become meaningfully useful to themselves, families and the community at large.
 The councillors resolved to congratulate the Executive Chairman, Alhaji Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi on the outcome of Election Petitions Tribunal, which upheld the victory of the council boss and that of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC) at the 2021 LG chairmanship poll.
 The house resolved to embark on familiarisation visits to public primary schools within the council area on oversight function to check on the pupils’ welfare.  The visitations will commence from the Local Government Education Authority.
