The Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA, Hon. Monsurudeen Bello (Obe) has revealed his plan to procure transformer for three communities within three to six months.

The council boss made the promise while commissioning a new 500KVA transformer in Ashamu Swamp Community Development (CDA) in Ejigbo.

The transformer was donated by the family of a community patron, Richard family, with the aim of restoring uninterrupted power supply in the community.

Acknowledging the donor, Obe said there is need for more individuals’ contributions towards the development of community.

He emphasised that their collaboration with the government is necessary to bring continuous development in Ejigbo LCDA.

The council chairman, therefore, supported the community with N500,000 for the installation of the transformer, while confirming his decision to take responsibility for the maintenance of the transformer.

He also encouraged residents to contribute towards the community in their own little way, saying community development goes beyond enormous financial assets but more of selfless contributions.
