By Olushola Okewole

The Chairman, Peace Home Valley Estate Community Development Association (CDA), Ejigbo, Sir Ikechukwu Ezeonyeka, has commended the Ejigbo local Council Development area (LCDA) Chairman, Hon. Monsuru Bello Obe, for supporting them in the commissioning of new transformer, saying Obe has proved to be a leader with the interest of the people in the community at heart.

Speaking with ECHONEWS, the CDA manager explained that the transformer came as a result of communal efforts of the community with contributions from landlords and residents of the area to get the new 500kva transformer to meet up with the power supply capacity for the community.

He further explained that the old transformer which was a 300kva capacity became overloaded as the community kept developing, brought about the need for new one which community contributed to purchase.

Meanwhile, the CDA appealed to the government on the flood issue which has remained the major challenge in the community, asking the government to speed up action on the construction of the proposed Oke-Afa/Bucknor-Canal Road that has been mapped out.

The CDA also wanted quick action on the dredging of Oke Afa primary canal which has been blocked by Fasheun Bridge for a long time.
