Encomium as Adeyemi retires from teaching service in Isolo

There were large ovations at Isolo over the weekend as the Head Teacher, Saint Paul Anglican Primary School, Ishagatedo Isolo, under the Local Government Education Authority (LGEA),  Alice Omolola Adeyemi, retired from the civil service of Lagos state after 35 years of imparting knowledge to children and administering schools.

In a ceremonial send off organised for her, the Chairman, Association of Primary School Head Teachers of Nigeria (AOPSHON), Olatunbosun Bakare, commended Adeyemi for 35 years of meritorious effort put into service, saying she demanded award of praise.

He therefore admonished other teachers in service to emulate her good deeds.

The Education Secretary of Local Government Education Authority, Femi Ogunwusi, reminded other colleagues in service to be brave, bold and confident through the teaching journey so as to obtain gold at the end.

The pen down exercise was performed by Ogunwusi who presented the certificate to Mrs. Adeyemi, praying for not to retire into sickness nor penury, but into joy.

Attitude of gratitude was the words of exaltation by pastor Odeyemi, who said it was paramount to any human endeavour with the addition of hardworking, diligence to achieve success.

Responding, Mrs.Adeyemi thanked God for sustenance grace and also gave words of advise to other junior colleagues to keep on the good job of life molding, saying it would yield them great reward ahead.

Also speaking, her husband, Sunday Adeyemi, who referred to his wife as a rare gift to the family, stated that she was brain behind the peace that radiates in their family.

Adeyemi stated, “I have no regrets in my marriage, nothing has suffered due to her chosen professional, rather it has added positively. She is my companion, wife, mother and i am proud of her.”

Her first son, Segun Adeyemi, described his mother as disciplinarian who clearly distinguished affection when it came to children concern.

The ceremony began with music by the drummer boys who ushered the celebrant to the high table amidst cheers by well wishers. followed by prayer to bless the event and open series of programmes to honour the celebrant
