Women Shower Praises on Rosiji

Women of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA) have praised the Chairman, Hon. (Barr.) Oluyemisi Adenike Rosiji, following the commendation of her administration by the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government Administration, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development after inspecting projects executed within her first 11 months in office.
Taking to Facebook shortly after the outcome of the oversight visit was shared, residents described the chairman as “Mrs Project” and commended what they called her visible developmental strides across the council.
One of the residents, Folajaye Odeleye, wrote, “What a man can do, a woman can do better. Kudos to our able chairman for excellent performance. You are really Idunnu Ojokoro. More grace to do more.”
Another resident, Felicia Akande, expressed gratitude for the chairman’s performance, describing her as an energetic, brilliant and hardworking leader.
“What can we say to the Lord? All we have to say is thank you Lord. Congratulations our amazing, energetic, brilliant, powerful and hardworking Chairman, Hon. Barr. Oluwayemisi Adenike Rosiji, Idunnu Ojokoro, Mrs Project, talk and do Chairman. Weldone ma. You make us proud in Ojokoro and we are proud of you as our chairman for your excellent performance. God would continue to bless, uphold, strengthen and support you more and more to deliver more. Congratulations once again ma,” she wrote.
Similarly, Bukola Fabiyi simply described the chairman’s performance as commendable, writing, “Good job. Commendable performance. Mrs Project.”
The reactions followed an official oversight visit by members of the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government Administration, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development to Ojokoro LCDA on Wednesday.
Led by the committee chairman, Hon. Ganiyu Sanni Okanlawon, the lawmakers inspected completed and ongoing projects across the council before receiving a presentation on the administration’s achievements.
The committee applauded Rosiji’s performance, describing her as “Mrs Project” and noting that she had delivered impressive results within just 11 months in office.
Among the projects highlighted were the construction of 22 landmark infrastructure projects, including 12 roads and seven drainage networks aimed at improving connectivity and reducing flooding across the council.
The lawmakers also commended the administration’s investment in free ICT and vocational training for youths, empowerment programmes for widows, senior citizens and other vulnerable groups, free healthcare initiatives and the enrolment of 1,000 families into the Ilera Eko Health Insurance Scheme.
While applauding the administration’s achievements, the committee recommended greater use of Public Private Partnerships for staff housing, speedy completion of the Michael Akinloye Street project, stronger collaboration among council officials, expanded vocational training programmes, additional CCTV installations within the council secretariat and continued support for beneficiaries of empowerment schemes.
Responding, Rosiji thanked the lawmakers for the commendation and pledged to sustain the delivery of people centred projects. She also assured the committee that its recommendations would be carefully considered as her administration continues to promote transparency, accountability, inclusive governance and sustainable development across Ojokoro LCDA.
