By Felix Kuyinu

A lady identified as Rebecca Adams has narrated her ordeal in the hands of her husband, Adelowo, who used her as collateral for a loan he took from a financial Company, then dumped her for an escape without meeting up with the loan conditions.

Adams, who lived with her estranged husband at Egan, Alimosho, stated that Adelowo also collected the sum of N72,000 from her before absconding.

Trouble started when the Financial Company traced the defaulter to his house as he refused to pay back the loan as and when due.

Adams, who stood as guarantor for the loan was dragged by the company and was forced to pay the money back

Echonews learnt that since the incident happened in 2016, Adelowo had been on the run.

However, Adams lodged complain to the Police who trailed him and got him arrested.

Adelowo was eventually charged before the Ejigbo Magistrates court for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace and stealing, the cases to which he pleaded not guilty.

The Prosecutor, Inspector, G. Simon, informed the court that Adelowo had been on the run since 2016 until he was recently arrested and may jump bail if he was granted.

However, the Presiding Magistrate, Teslimi Shomade, granted him bail in the sum of N72,000 with two sureties in like sum.

He was remanded in prison custody pending the time he would perfect his bail conditions.

The matter was adjourned to 27th September, 2018, for mention.
