Where to get cheaper gas refill in Ejigbo

Increasing use of cooking gas is driving cut throat competition among suppliers leading to frequent price drops.

Echonews found out that the rates for different sizes of cylinder of gas within Ejigbo community differ.

At Peridot Petroleum Station, Orilowo Ejigbo, 3kg cylinder would be refilled at the rate of N1000,00; 5kg goes for N1,817.17 while 12.5kg could be refilled at the rate of N4,124.20.

The prices were relatively the same in other filling stations visited by ECHONEWS such as Fatgbems Petroleum, Shogunle Oshodi and Total Filling Station, Isolo.

However, the prices are slightly different at other outlets across the community.

Speaking on the price, the Manager, Peridot Petroleum Station, Boluwatife Agboola, noted that the price decreased from N4,223.08 in August 2019 to N4,124.20 in September 2019 for a 12.5kg cylinder.

Also speaking, Ekene Harrison who owns a Gas Refilling outlet around Irone Avenue, Jakande Estate states the price is relatively higher as refilling of a 12.5kg cylinder with the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (Cooking Gas) costs N4,600 at the local gas refilling outlet in Jakande Estate.
