U20 Women’s World Cup: Aduku Foresee Bright Future For Players Despite Quarter Final Ouster

Nigeria U20 women’s national team head coach, Moses Aduku has projected a promising future for the players after their brilliant show in the quarter final of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.

The Falconets played better despite their 1-0 loss to Colombia at the Stadion Miejski LKS Lodz, Poland but the red card shown to midfielder, Kafayat Mafisere drowned the morale of the players.

Aduku focused the positives while commending the players for their overall performance and the importance of the World Cup to their careers.

“I think, first and foremost, this tournament is good for the young players,” Aduku told FIFA

The tactician posits, the World Cup will broaden the knowledge of the players and help them elevate their careers.

He reveals his utmost belief that the future is bright for the promising footballers.

“It gives them the ability to grow and reach the next level. I think, in Nigeria, we have seen the future of our players. And I think the future is very bright.”

Nigeria’s dream of breaking the 12 years jinx of qualifying for the semifinal of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup have been broken but the team picks up positives of the competition.

The Falconets road to the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup weren’t rosy as several key players (Starters) were denied visa to Poland including captain, Joy Igbokwe and others.

This however didn’t deter the coaching crew led by Aduku to give up as they used their tactical brilliance to nurture the Falconets to the quarter final.
