Pop Singer Lauren Bennett Dies, Inquest Scheduled for October
British pop singer Lauren Bennett, best known for her vocals on LMFAO’s 2011 hit Party Rock Anthem, has died at the age of 36.
The announcement was made by her girl group, G.R.L, in a statement shared on its official Instagram page on Monday.
Paying tribute to the late singer, the group expressed deep sorrow over her passing.
“Our hearts are broken, and we can’t begin to express how much she meant to us. We will forever cherish the love, laughter and countless memories she gave us.
“Rest peacefully, sweet Lauren. You will always be in our hearts,” the statement read.
The cause of Bennett’s death has not been disclosed.
However, USA TODAY reported that records from the Kent and Medway Coroner indicate that an inquest into the circumstances surrounding her death has been scheduled for October.
