A Magistrate’s Court in Lagos has granted Nigerian TikToker and content creator, Peller, bail in the sum of ₦500,000 over allegations of obstructing police officers.

Peller was granted bail on Tuesday after spending four days in police detention.

The social media personality was arrested on Friday following a confrontation with police officers in the Lekki area of Lagos State.

He was later transferred to the Ikeja Police Station and arraigned alongside one Bello Oladipo on a three-count charge bordering on obstruction of police officers in the discharge of their duties, conduct likely to cause a breach of the public peace, and conspiracy to commit a felony.

The charges stem from an incident involving the TikToker and police officers during which he was accused of resisting law enforcement officials while carrying out their duties.

Before his arrest, Peller appeared in a viral video alleging that police officers harassed him for driving a tinted vehicle without a number plate.

He maintained that he had only recently purchased the vehicle and claimed the officers pulled his shirt, pointed a gun at his head and insisted on taking him into custody.

The case has been adjourned as legal proceedings continue.Keyword Tags: Peller, TikToker, Lagos Magistrate Court, bail, ₦500,000 bail, Nigeria Police, Lekki, Ikeja Police Station, Bello Oladipo, police obstruction, public peace, Lagos, court, social media personality
