The Nigeria Police is leaving no stone unturned in unraveling the shooting to death of chairman of the MOALS in Oshodi, the late Aro Razak Bello, popularly known as Hamburger.
Echonews learnt that the police is currently seeking to establish the motive of the murder.
One of the angles being explored is the power struggle among chieftains of the National Union of Road Transport Workers for the control of over transportation units in Oshodi, considered a highly lucrative hub.
This followed statements made by those arrested and later released alleging that their lives were in danger.
Another angle reported by a national daily, the Vanguard newspaper linked the murder to recent changes in the national executive committee of the union.
Meanwhile, wife of the deceased, Mrs.Alhaja Abolore Bello has left her husband’s killers to God.
In an interview with Echonews, Alhaja Abolore said : “I thank Almighty Allah for the kind of life my late husband lived. When
I came back from Dublin, because I and the children are not living in
Nigeria with him, everyone spoke well of him l. Even in London as
well. This made me to understand that my late husband left a good image
in the community he lived”.
Abolore further revealed the pain and effect Hamburger’s death will have on the family.
According to her, “Hamburger was a strong pillar in the
family, though it pleased Almighty to have him to Himself, but I ask
Almighty to give me the strength to bear the loss and assume his
responsibilities because the children are still young”.
“To those who masterminded his killing,I hand them over to Almighty
Allah to meet their waterloo”.
Alhaja Abolore Bello, thanked everyone who had stood by her for the
burial from Ibadan,Ilorin, Lagos and all over the places.
Also speaking on the life and times of Bello, .
Alhaji Ahamed Abdul Jeleel, the Islamic religion tutor of late
Bello’s children in Dublin, Ireland, said ” I thank Allah for late
Hamburger’s life style of training his children in Islamic way, despite the fact that they reside in Dublin”
He stressed that the training should be continued so that the children are not carried away by western life.
Ahamed admonished the children saying, “if they continue with the
Islamic studies, coupled with western education , they will not go
astray rather live a balanced life worth living.
He also commended the courage of Abolore who stood firm in Allah to
receive the body of her late husband when brought to the house for
burial. Ahamed asked Allah on her behalf to give her the fortitude to
bear the loss.
