One of the Councillorship Aspirants for Ward F4 Ishaga-Tedo, Isolo, under the platform of the All Progressive Congress Party (APC), Honourable Popoola Sharafa in an exclusive interview with ECHONEWS, on his plans, passions and manifestoes for his Ward, hinted, that the love and ample support of his people persuaded him to via for a public post once more.
He disclosed, that he had contested for the same position during the living days of Alliance for Democracy and the defunct Movement for Democracy and Justice, both of which he had lost. Confessing, that the love and support from people around him, his community, and the State Party Chairman and Family Members, ignited his passion to contest for the post again.
Highlighting his manifestoes which he tagged a 3-Point Agenda (Accountability, Education and Empowerment). He said, he is accountable to his Ward. Adding, that he will present a quarterly report of things done, regularly, at the council, for transparency and accountability.
Attesting, that the Local Government is the nearest government to the populace, he assured his community, of his willingness to accurately present them with the insights of his activities at the local council; when elected.
He noted the need for empowerment and educational development in his community and explained, that regular vocational trainings will be conducted for the Youths, Women and Community at large in several Professions like Hair Dressing and Cosmetology.
Popoola said Education is one of the prerequisites for success, reiterating, that he would support School children with six writing materials each term and try to make the learning environments conducive and encouraging for learning.
“I’ll Provide ICT installations in each of the four Primary Schools in my Ward and as at when due, procure enough GCE and JAMB forms for the youths.” he said. Assuring a democratic representation of the people, he vowed his unwavering loyalty to any of the incoming Chairmen, adding, that he is in cordiality with the aspirants, under the APC platform.
