Police hunt for alleged assailant, Michael Okide for killing his father and mother
The police are on the trail of a 23-year old man, Michael Okhide for allegedly killing both parents – Barristeri Michael and Mrs Toyin Okide .
The incident happened at Alhaji Akeem Gbadamosi Street, Ejigbo, Lagos, where they reside.
Barrister Okhide was the newly elected CDA chairman, Ailegun west,Ejigbo.
Police operatives from the Ejigbo Division have retrieved the corpses and deposited at Isolo General Hospital mortuary for autopsy report.
The Late Mrs. Toyin, Okide, a matron at Isolo General Hospital, was married to Barrister Okhide and both had three children.
The suspect, Michael, was the second child.
Also allegedly injured in the attack was Mary, his elder sister, who was also stabbed during the attack and said to be receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
The immediate cause of the incident is still.sketchy but there were reports that the alleged assailant has been having challenges with drug abuse.
According to residents, Michael had attended three private universities with nothing to show. He was expelled and was doing nothing but only engaging in drugs.
It was gathered that the parents had done so many things to engage him to be useful to no avail before he eventually attacked and murdered them in cold blood.
Echonews visited the residence where the incident happened, Police operatives from Ejigbo Division led by the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Olabisi Okuwobi, had retrieved the corpses and deposited at the mortuary. The house wasm sealed off pending when the Police will conclude their investigations.
Meanwhile the Police are working on information from.neighbouts who said he strolled out of the house wearing only boxer shorts after allegedly committing the heinous act.
