App developers gathering data at oshodi market

As businesses set to go digital in Oshodi market, the marketers have been advised to key into the Application developed for the purpose.

In this effort to turn the market into a mega business hub, the Oshodi-Isolo Local Government has collaborated with Community Life Project to embark on developing software and application to link Oshodi business activities to the world.

Two streets (Brown and Igbehinadun) have been chosen for the pilot exercise with an appeal to business people within the areas to cooperate with the data enumerators who would visit them to get information about their businesses.

According to the program and I.T instructor who demonstrated the use of the APP at the training of local government staff for the pilot exercise, the software would increase the customer base, increase profit as any business that uses the App would be recognized and patronized worldwide.

The acting Executive Director of Community Life Project, Mr. Chucks Ojidoh stated that every local government and state in Nigeria should think in the direction of joining the global standard of making a seamless business activities.

He explained how the application is developed in a simple format that can be used just like normal phone, saying “it’s an opportunity to have names of our business seen globally like others across the world.”

The Vice Chairman of the council, Hon. Daisi Oso advised the developers to sensitize business owners and market associations at the areas of the pilot exercise and liaise with local government authority to ensure easy data collection exercise.

“People may envisage it to be tax, but with friendly approach and enlightenment, accurate data will be gotten.”

One of the participants in the App training, Mrs. Lambo from budget department described the innovation as a great one that can make business transactions easy and lifting it to greater heights in the community.
