Olusi Urges Govt To End Wasteful Spending

In the 9th edition of the Tajudeen Olusi Foundation, Sheikh Abdul Hakeem Awwal, the National Missioner of the Ikhwanul Muslim Foundation, emphasized the importance of stopping wasteful spending in the country in order to rectify the current economic crisis. He also urged Nigerians to remain patient during this challenging time, as all difficulties in life provide valuable lessons.

The Sheikh made these statements during the 9th Ramadhan Lecture organized by the Prince Tajudeen Olusi Foundation at the APC Central Senatorial District Secretariat in Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.

 

Addressing the topic of the Ramadhan Lecture, “Endurance and Perseverance as Virtues in Islam,” the cleric stated that Allah tests every individual but only those who remain steadfast will overcome challenges and turbulence. He emphasized the need for people to completely rely on Allah for their needs, particularly during times of hardship.

The Sheikh also attributed the high level of insecurity in the country to a lack of values and care for underprivileged children.

 

Senator Sanni Eshinlokun, the Special Guest at the event, commended the chosen topic for the Ramadhan Lecture, stating that it was relevant and timely. He emphasized that destinies are determined by Allah, and there is no need for individuals to fight over what has not been bestowed upon them. Senator Eshinlokun also praised Prince Tajudeen Olusi for his kindness and generosity, as he has positively impacted the lives of many.

 

Hon Abayomi Daramola, the Chairman of the Foundation, explained that it was established to provide various forms of support and assistance to humanity. He highlighted the lesson of patience learned from the Ramadhan lecture and assured that the upcoming 10th Anniversary and other programs under the foundation will be even grander.

Prince Tajudeen Olusi expressed that his lifelong patience has resulted in Allah’s mercy and generosity towards him. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting Allah’s cause and assisting those in need. Reflecting on his life history, he shared that he willingly stepped down for another person after winning a slot, accepting the decision with grace.

 

Tunde Balogun, the Chairman of the occasion, revealed that numerous people have benefited from projects initiated by the Prince Olusi Foundation.

Two members of the Ramadan Lecture organizing committee, Rasheedat Abiodun-Abu, the Chairman of Iru-Victorial LCDA, and Kamal Bashua Salau, expressed optimism that the President will address the economic crisis soon.
