NAPS To Hold Inaugural Education Submit

The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) is gearing up to host its first-ever Edu Social Summit, on thursday, 3rd of August 2023, at Lagos State University Of Science and Technology(LASUSTECH) IKorodu, Lagos.

The submit tagged “Identifying Opportunities in the New Dispensation” will feature education, Governance and Security faced by the educational sector in Nigeria.

The initiative was brought in to make students understand that there are opportunities around them, as a graduate and as an Undergraduate, that there are no limitations to their exploits.

The Summit, will be organized by Comr Iwalokun Lawrence the Vice President of Naps Southwest and Comr. Oni Olawale NAPS National Senate Clerk will enlighten students on the opportunities embedded in this new Dispensation.

NAPS is a student body that represents the interests of polytechnic students in Nigeria. The body’s goal is to provide a platform for polytechnic students to express their views, promote unity among students, and advocate for their rights.

The Edu Social Summit is expected to address some of the challenges facing the education sector in Nigeria. To underscore the need for students in the to explore new opportunities and embrace changes that are currently unfolding in the sector and this new dispensation at Large.

Taking into the issue of transmutation of LASPOTECH into LASUSTECH, from a polytechnic into a university, what will be the fate of diplomats? The ND holders who assumed they’ll resume for HND, what are the provisions being made for them in the university setting?

This is one out of the many questions which will be answered in the upcoming summit.
Stakeholders in the educational sector will be tasked with enlightening student’s on the best way to maximize opportunities around them.

The chairman Edu -Social Planning Committee, Hon Comr Jumuah Al-Ameen urges students not to miss it, to take advantage of the opportunity to participate in the summit and contribute their quota towards building a sustainable edu-social system, as well as discovering new opportunities available in the educational system and promises for it to be an event to relish.

The Summit would provide a unique platform for students to learn, network, and collaborate with other stakeholders in the sector, and explore new opportunities for personal and professional growth.
