Maboju CDA solicits govts’ support on road rehabilitation

By Edith Igbokwe

Maboju Community Development Association (CDA) Shogunle, Oshodi has appealed to the governments both at the state and local levels to include the community in the scheme of development, claiming that it has been excluded by the state government in its 33 years of existence.

The CDA which comprises three streets, Majekodunmi, Anike and part of Agege Motor road lamented that it lacks basic structures such as good roads and drainage systems that are supposed to make the vicinity a worthy place to live.

The CDA Chairman, Alhaji Memudu Adisa Olawoyin therefore called on the local government and the Lagos State government to come to their aid as they also pleaded for state grants, noting that missed the last one given by the former Governor Akinwumi Ambode to some CDAs across the state.

Meanwhile, Olawoyin expressed the community’s appreciation to the Federal House of Representative in Oshodi-Isolo constituency I, Dr. Bashiru Dawodu for the free medical healthcare the community benefited from him, saying he believed that he would deliver good dividend of democracy to the people.

He also applauded the moral and financial contributions of Maboju residents towards the development, especially for the two gates erected at the beginning and end part of Majekodunmi Street for security purpose.
