LAHA Commends Somolu LG On Healthcare Delivery

Lagos State House of Assembly has commended Somolu Local Government authority over healthcare delivery, stating that the local government has done well in primary healthcare sector.

As part of the oversight function of Lagos State House of Assembly, the House Committee on Health, paid a visit to Somolu Local Government and the Primary Healthcare Centers in company of the Council chairman, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu.

The council chairman, who received the Hon. Femi Saheed led-House Committee on Health, spearheaded the tour to all the Primary Health Centres in the community, including Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu PHC, Akoka PHC, Akinwunmi Ambode PHC, Wright Memorial PHC, Bajulaye PHC, including Oyekenu PHC.

Salawu reiterated his commitment to always ensure the Local Government cater for the needs of all PHCs where need be.

He also briefed the committee on his developmental plan to rejuvenate most of the aged PHCs and assured of adequate process to begin with.

While lauding the strides of the council chairman on healthcare and other sectors, Hon. Femi Saheed (Honourable Member, LAHA, Kosofe Constituency II) was enthused to have met an encouraging status of all the visited PHCs earlier today, most especially on environmental hygiene.

He commended the effective and inexorable contributions of all the staffs and required from them, daily/continuous efforts of their respective duties, in tandem with the need of their patients.

On tour with both parties include Hon. Yomi Osunkoya led Somolu Legislative Arms, Mrs Aarinola Shodipo (Council Manager), Mr. Abayomi Odusanya (Council Treasurer),  Dr. Agboola Bidemi (Medical of Health), Hon. Williams Bamidele Lawanson (Erstwhile Sole Administrator, Somolu LG), Hon. Koya Olayinka-Sodipe (SA on Health), Hon. Femi Taiwo (SSA on Environment), Engr. (Council Engineer), and Mr Tito Bakare (HOD, Agric & Social Services) and many other council chiefs and APC party chieftains.
