Lagos Commissioner Explains Governance To Youths

NYCN Somolu, Pay Congratulatory  visit to Hon. Bowale Sosimi, Commissioner Lagos State, Local Government Services Commission.

The Leadership of National Youth Council of Nigeria, Somolu Local Branch, led by Comrade Olalekan Fasasi, pay a courtesy visit to Hon. Bowale Sosimi, Commissioner Lagos State, Local Government Services Commission.

Speaking during the visit to Commissioner, Comrade Olalekan Fasasi explained that the essence of the visit was to congratulate the commissioner on his new role and also aimed at promoting peaceful coexistence, Communal dialogue, and creating a pathway and opportunity for the community(Somolu)

The Commissioner, Hon. Bowale Sosimi, in his response appreciated the Youth Council for the visit, and further explained the role and responsibilities of the Lagos State Local Government Services Commission and what the commission truly stands for, which are to regulate, Monitor, discipline and post the activities of local government officials and staff.

He advised the youth council to be active, progressive and also contribute to the government at the local in their better interest.

The youth should be skilled and educated to instill values to themselves, so that they can be respected, valued and considered for leadership roles, He added.

During the visitation, Hon. Abiodun  Orekoya Lagos State House of Assembly members-Elect, representing Somolu Constituency 1,  join the commissioner and also appreciate and engage the youth.

He promised to support and plead to carry Somolu youth along with his quarterly Youth Assembly program, which the first edition would begin soon after his Inauguration.
