I’m overwhelmed with love, support for Charity Football – Yemi Fortune

Giving back to the less privilege and orphanage homes have become a norm in our modern society as people continue to preach for wealthy individuals to always show support to the less privilege and orphanage homes.

The first edition of the Charity Football held at Jalisco mini stadium, Oshodi saw individuals and All Stars teams show up to play the round leather game of football and also used the medium to contribute funds which the proceeds was used to buy needs for orphanage homes and the less privilege in the society.

The convener and organizer of Charity Football, Yemi Fortune (Unstoppable) said Charity Football is all about giving back to the society through football, as he is overwhelmed by the turnout and show of love that the event received.

“I’m Unstoppable Yemi Fortune, I’m so overwhelmed with the turnout today which was massive, I want to appreciate all the teams, friends and well wishers that turned out for this event.

“Charity Football is all about giving back to the society through football and some of the teams and individuals that turned out for the Charity Football gave their best and contributed their own money including food stuffs, which will be used to buy the needs of the less privilege and orphanage homes because the whole event is centered around giving to the less privilege and orphanage homes.”

Some notable individuals who spoke to ECHONEWS, also gave commendation to Yemi Fortune for pulling up a great event and bringing people together.

Joshua Adegboro, President Akinola All Stars said “I will give kudos to the organizer, Yemi Fortune, this is a good course and I will urge him to make it an annual thing, from our end we are always happy and willing to support a reasonable course and by the next edition, we at Akinola All Stars will play a major role.”

Kolawole Ajani, vice chairman of Jalisco All Stars Oshodi stated, “The charity football is a good initiative at least to reach out to the orphanage and the less privilege and we at Jalisco All Stars are assuring the organizer that we will give him our full support in subsequent editions.

Adebanji Gbeleyi, (Skibanj) noted, “It’s a good initiative from Yemi Fortune and be has been doing it for years and we need to give him kudos and encourage him to do more.

Coach Banire Banis, says “I saw the post on Facebook, I was very happy and I decided to give my support to the program and I urge ex internationals to buy into this program by giving back to the society.”

Olayemi Balogun, Football, Football stakeholder in Oshodi commend the organizer, “Charity Football is a great thing, it’s what everyone should be involved because it’s about giving back to the less privilege and giving back to the society, I commend the organizers of this event.”

Folashade Ijamilusi, a national team player who plays for FC Robo Queens gives her full support, “It’s a great event and kudos to the organizer Yemi Fortune for putting this together because it’s an impressive one and what I will also be giving my full support to.

Chidinma Ogbuchi, national U20 and FC Robo Queens player, “It’s a great initiative and this have urged me to also give back to the society in my own little way.

Omoshola Fayemi, founder Skillful football foundation Oshodi, showered praises on the organizer, “I will like to appreciate the efforts of Yemi Fortune, kudos to him, it’s a very lovely event and gives us the opportunity to meet our old friends and it also promotes friendship among the older players and we at Jalisco All Stars will give him our utmost support always.
