Damilare Aladegbola, popularly known as Dre, an aide to Afrobeats star Davido, has offered a cash reward to anyone who returns his missing phone following rapper Zlatan Ibile’s traditional wedding in Lagos.
Dre made the appeal on social media on Monday, October 26, expressing frustration over the disappearance of his device during the star-studded ceremony held on Saturday, October 24.
In his message, he pleaded with whoever had the phone to return it, promising to give the person money in exchange.
“If na u carry my phone for Zlatan wedding, abeg return am, I go give you money please,” he wrote.
Beyond the missing device, Dre also raised concerns about the handling of guests’ belongings at social gatherings. He suggested that the practice of waiters asking guests whether they had finished eating before clearing their plates could create opportunities for phones left on tables to disappear.
He warned that he would no longer take such situations lightly when attending parties.
However, Dre did not name anyone suspected of taking his phone or provide details confirming how it went missing. His comments reflected his suspicion about the circumstances surrounding the incident, but no individual has been identified as responsible.
The incident comes after Zlatan tied the knot with his longtime partner, Davita Lamai, in a traditional wedding ceremony that attracted several entertainers, celebrities and other guests.
Davido was among the high-profile personalities at the event and reportedly played a prominent role among the groom’s entourage.
Celebrity weddings often bring together large crowds, with guests moving between tables, taking photographs and sharing moments from the celebration. In such busy settings, keeping personal belongings secure can become a concern.
For Dre, the immediate priority is getting his phone back, and he has made it clear that he is willing to pay for its safe return.
Whether the appeal will lead to the recovery of the device remains unclear. For now, the Davido aide is hoping that whoever has the phone will respond to his plea and return it.
