The Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF) has launched a Student Share Grant Initiative that gives eligible Nigerian students an opportunity to receive an additional 10 Dangote Refinery shares at no extra cost.

The initiative is designed to introduce young Nigerians to investing, financial literacy and long-term asset ownership through participation in the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE (DPRP).

Who Can Apply?

The opportunity is open to students who:

  • Are 18 years or older.
  • Are currently enrolled in a recognised public or private tertiary institution in Nigeria.
  • Complete the required student verification and eligibility checks.
  • Apply for at least 10 DPRP shares through the Foundation’s designated participation channel.
  • Apply in their own name and for their own benefit.

The Foundation’s initiative is subject to its applicable eligibility requirements, terms and verification procedures.

What Do Successful Applicants Get?

An eligible student who completes the required process and applies for the minimum 10 DPRP shares can qualify for ADF to fund an additional application for 10 DPRP shares in the student’s name.

The additional application is provided at no cost to the eligible student.

However, students must first fund their own minimum 10-share application. The Foundation-funded application does not mean that the shares are guaranteed to be allotted, as applications remain subject to the applicable IPO terms and allotment process.

The official DPRP public-offer website currently lists the minimum subscription as 10 shares at ₦525 per share, or ₦5,250. Students should confirm the current offer status and terms before applying.

How to Apply

Interested students can follow these steps:

Step 1: Visit the designated Aliko Dangote Foundation Student Share Grant platform.

Step 2: Complete the required student verification process and provide the requested information.

Step 3: After successful verification, follow the instructions provided to access the designated subscription channel.

Step 4: Apply for a minimum of 10 DPRP shares in your own name and for your own benefit.

Step 5: Eligible students who complete the required process will qualify for ADF to fund an additional application for 10 DPRP shares in their name.

The Foundation said the initiative applies only to eligible students participating in the DPRP IPO through the designated channel. It cannot be used to purchase shares for another person, another Dangote company or any other company.

Important Information for Applicants

The Student Share Grant is a financial-literacy and investment-participation initiative, not a cash grant or scholarship. Participation is voluntary, and the Foundation says the programme should not be interpreted as investment advice or a recommendation to acquire DPRP shares.

Students should carefully review the FAQs, Terms and Conditions, Privacy Notice and IPO documentation before providing personal information or making any payment.

The official DPRP IPO website also advises prospective investors to use only approved subscription channels and warns that legitimate channels will not request a PIN, password or OTP.
