Broda Shaggi Assures Fans of Comeback After Months Away
Popular Nigerian skit maker and actor Samuel Perry, better known as Broda Shaggi, has broken his silence after spending several months away from the public eye.
The comedian, who has largely stayed away from public appearances, social events and performances in recent months, thanked his fans for continuing to support him despite his absence.
In a message shared on his WhatsApp channel on Friday, Shaggi expressed appreciation to fans who continued to check on him and show him love during the period.
He said their patience and support had given him strength even though he had been unable to connect with them as much as he wanted.
“To everyone who’s still here… waiting, checking in, showing love, and holding me down even through the silence, thank you. I don’t think y’all truly understand how much that means to me,” he said.
Shaggi acknowledged that many of his fans were curious about the reason for his prolonged absence but said he was not ready to disclose the details.
He, however, assured them that he had not forgotten them and was looking forward to returning to the public when the time was right.
“I wish I could tell y’all everything right now… but I can’t. Not yet,” he said.
“Just know I haven’t forgotten about you, and I haven’t stopped thinking about the day I can finally come back and really be ME with y’all again. I’m hoping that day comes soon.”
The entertainer also promised to return with renewed energy and make up for the time he has spent away from his audience.
“And when it does, I promise I’m coming back better, stronger, and ready to make up for all this lost time,” he added.
Shaggi ended his message by thanking his fans for their patience, love and loyalty throughout his absence.
His latest message comes months after reports emerged that he had allegedly sustained a gunshot injury while filming a comedy skit in the Sango-Ota area of Ogun State.
The Ogun State Police Command was subsequently reported to have launched an investigation into the alleged shooting incident.
Shaggi, however, did not disclose whether the incident was connected to his prolonged absence from the public.
