After almost two years of abandonment of the project by the developers, the proposed Aswani Ultra-Modern Market can be said to be near its completion, as construction work had effectively resumed on the site.
However, the project which had been on-going since 2015 was suddenly abandoned by the developer on what was believed to have been caused by financial impediment. But, of recent, work had ceaselessly resumed on the site and the phase 1 of the project is slated for commissioning by October, later this year.
Even though the traders, who had ran out of patience, have taken to some parts of the uncompleted building site to display their goods and wares on the usual Tuesday weekly trading day, that hasn’t hindered the on-going construction project on the site as contractors are working day and night.
The Iyaloja of the market, Chief Mrs. Sherifat Farombi had previously made it known in a interview that work will resume soonest on the site,.
She was full of appreciation to the developers and implored the traders to earnestly exercise patience and remain optimistic as the market will experience more developments as plans to commission begin.
