The meeting, which was held at the local government Secretariat in Akowonjo on Friday, 26th January 2024 was used to state some of the works in progress as well as introduce other new activities the community leaders should watch out for in the new year.

Some of the activities mentioned include:

1. A new strategy for combating security challenges;

2. Printing of means of identification for all Executives and members of the Community i.e the Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer of all Community Development Association CDA in the local government;

3. A redefined means of monitoring the activities of the CDAs; among others

The CDC Chairman affirmed the readiness of the CDC Executives to work for the progress of the community and requested the support of all members.

He added that the Council Chairman has organised health check centres in each of the 7 wards in the local government which will commence operations soon. Also, a plan to improve the activities of the tradomedical practitioners, herbal stores owner (elewe Omo), local midwives (Agbebi) and so on has commenced.
