Over the weekend, the Lagos State Council of Tradesmen and Artisans (LASCOTA) inaugurated new executive council that would run the organization’s operations for the next four years.

The opening served as a prelude to the LASCOTA Inaugural Lecture and End of the Year Party, which took place at the Council Secretariat Hall.

The LASCOTA congress duly vetted, qualified, and returned all newly inaugurated executive members of the association in accordance with the statutes now in effect, according to LASCOTA President Alhaji Nurudeen Buhari, among other things.

Mrs Dosa was reelected as the Chairman of LASCOTA

In her acceptance speech, the newly inaugurated Igando-Ikotun Lascota Chairman Mrs Dosa, on behalf of her exco, thanked members and stakeholders of Lascota for their support and promised to operate an open door policy administration driven by equity, fairness and qualitative service delivery.

She solicited the continued support of members to enable her committee to take the association to greater heights.

In his keynote speech, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde, the Chairman of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA, thanked the newly elected executives and asked them to lead by example, encouraging members to support the association’s new executive committee.

“We believe change is crucial for progress, and while resistance is natural, continuity without adaptation impedes growth,” Akinsanya said.

He appealed to members to engage in constructive dialogue and recognise that the association’s collective success depends on the strength of their unity. Allow peace and be calm, as to embrace development in LASCOTA
