Nigerian disc jockey and billionaire heiress Florence Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, has spoken about her views on marriage, describing it as one of the most powerful unions in human life.
Writing on her official X handle on Thursday, the entertainer said she regards marriage not simply as a partnership, but as a sacred covenant witnessed by God.
“Call me old school, but I see marriage as the most powerful partnership in life. Maybe even the most important contract you will ever sign, with God Himself as the witness,” she wrote.
Cuppy added that her younger sister Temi Otedola’s marriage to Afrobeats star Mr Eazi has strengthened her conviction.
“Seeing my baby sister Temi become Mrs Ajibade reminds me that marriage is far from outdated. With the right person, it pulls you closer to purpose and builds love, family, and legacy,” she said.
Her remarks followed the release of official wedding photographs by Temi and Mr Eazi, whose union was marked by three ceremonies across different countries.
The first was held in Monaco on 9 May 2025, a date chosen to honour Mr Eazi’s late mother’s birthday. Two months later, the couple celebrated a traditional Yoruba wedding at the Otedola family residence in Dubai. The festivities concluded in August with a white wedding in Iceland, where they exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony.
